«Whatever he [Mussolini] thought or said yesterday, even if, especially if it was the contrary of what he thinks or says today, seems to be deleted from his consciousness and must be deleted from the memory of those who read or listen. No one, in the Italian libraries, is allowed to consult the articles of Mussolini's socialistic or anarchistic time, and one of his courtiers worded fittingly the master's fondest desire when he imposed upon all Italy the slogan: "Mussolini is always right."»
