Three hundred years after his death, the figure of Arcangelo Corelli continues to play a role of central importance in the musical history of the 17th and 18th centuries and his music is an aesthetic and didactic reference point. The emplarity of the Corellian work has been recognized and admired by the generation of musicians and composers who have increased the production of the Maestro di Fusignano to a formal and stylistic model.
